If you’re wondering whether a membership to The Henry Ford is worth it, we want to let you know it is! Enjoy an entire year of fun for one price. Below are a list of activities to do each month – most are free but some are ticketed with special discounts for members! Daily admission for both locations is $57 for guests 12 and older and $42.75 for kids ages 5 to 11 (younger kids are free), these are online prices – a membership pays for itself in two visits!
January: Da’Vinci The Exhibit @ The Henry Ford Museum
DaVinci The Exhibition is a detailed exploration of the life and work of the ultimate Renaissance man. Step into the world of Leonardo da Vinci through full-scale inventions, intricate art studies and stunning displays set against the backdrop of the Italian countryside. This limited-time exhibition brings to life da Vinci’s discoveries in art, engineering, science, flight and more to celebrate and study one of history’s most brilliant minds. Each invention in this exhibition was handcrafted by skilled artisans following da Vinci’s original two-dimensional drawings and modern translations of his Codices — comprehensive collections containing nearly all of his sketches, notes and ideas. The exhibit runs from October 26th – May 3rd and is included with a membership.
February: Tinkering For Tots @ The Henry Ford Museum
Each month families can visit a different museum location (in the summer months it’s in Greenfield Village) to tinker with toys, listen to a story, grab a take home activity STEAM activity kit and take a ‘field trip’ to a special museum exhibit. The inclusive program offers all learning resources in English, Spanish and Arabic. Tinkering for Tots is a drop-in program that runs from 10am to 12pm, check the list below for upcoming dates and themes.
March: Rouge Ford Factory Tour
Rev up your inner engineer with a five-part experience at Ford’s legendary Dearborn Truck Plant. Get an inside look at the most iconic moments of American manufacturing history, and immerse yourself in modern manufacturing’s most progressive concepts. Not included with membership, but members get 15% off!
April: Greenfield Village Opening Day
Welcome spring with custard, outdoor fun, farm visits, playground time, Model T rides, and more as Greenfield Village reopens for the season.
May: A Day Out With Thomas @ Greenfield Village

June: Visit The Jackson House @ Greenfield Village
The Jackson House is a unique time capsule documenting one of the most momentous movements in U.S. history: the Selma to Montgomery marches, a sustained effort to ensure that all Americans would have the civil and voting rights promised to them. Explore the newly reconstructed Jackson Home, over 100 years old and relocated from its original site in Alabama to Greenfield Village.
July: Salute To America @ Greenfield Village
Enjoy your favorite summer treats as you stroll and listen to performance groups across the village, each showcasing a diverse assembly of music from American history, including choral singing, ragtime, jazz and more. Grab a blanket, get comfortable and take a seat on the Village Green for a three-part grand finale, including FIREWORKS and a full Detroit Symphony Orchestra performance. Another sell-out event that goes on sale early for members and provides a discount.
August: Aviation Day @ The Henry Ford Musuem + Greenfield Village
From hands-on flight experiments to living history tours with the Wright brothers, enjoy activities in the museum and in the Village! With your membership you can enjoy an array of interactive activites at both locations for no charge.
September: The Old Car Festival @ Greenfield Village
Hundreds of vehicles from the 1890s through 1932 arrive from across the country to be perfectly set in the place where American history comes alive. America’s longest-running antique car show brings ragtime America and the Jazz Age to life with two days of historically inspired street food, music, dancing and activities. Stay late Saturday evening for the Gaslight Parade of Cars, dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue and a Dixieland-style parade.
October: Hallowe’en @ Greenfield Village
A sell-out seasonal favorite with live entertainment, haunted train rides, and plenty of spooky, family-friendly fun, The Henry Ford’s annual Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village is a can’t-miss October tradition. Members enjoy early access to tickets and discount admission.
November: See Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments @ The Henry Ford Museum
There’s lots to see in the Henry Ford Museum and with a membership, you don’t have to see it all in one day. During the holiday season, explore decades of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments at this permanent exhibit before picking out a new favorite for your tree at the gift shop.
