Hide and Seek (Ann Arbor)

Hide and Seek is a play boutique that offers classes and open play hours for families with kids ages 6 and under. Each open-play session is 90 minutes, giving the employees time to clean before the next session begins. Open play is $14 for children aged 6 months – 6 years, $5 for children aged 3 months – 5 months, and children under 3 months are free. If you’re looking to get more bang for your buck, consider signing up for an open play pass. A 10 pass bundle is $12 per session and a 20 pass session is $10 per session.

The Backyard Playroom (Berkley)

The Backyard Playroom is open 3 days a week and offers FREE fun for kids ages 5 and under! Kids can climb and slide on the treehouse, play dress up, cook up a storm in the play kitchen and enjoy LOTS of other toys! This is a space for babies too! Plenty of room to roll around and take in all the sights and sounds.

Salt & Light Kids Co. (Brighton)

Step into an adorable indoor play area and children boutique. Salt & Light focuses on Montessori inspired play, with wooden playhouses, dress up and an incredible tree as the focal point to all the fun. Be sure to check out the special pop up with craft activities!

Busy Bee Play Cafe (Canton)

Busy Bee Play Cafe is an educational play center that hosts open play and workshops focused on early literacy, numeracy, science, arts, and social skills development. Open daily, admission is $17 for first child (adult included).

T & B Play (Canton + Clawson)

T & B Play has two locations that are great for littles and feature ball pits, climbers, slides and sensory-friendly areas that are set up in a way that is easy for parents to engage and watch kids play.

Yoyo’s Fun Center (Clinton Township/Westland)

Yoyo’s Fun Center is great because its linear play space design makes it easy to keep your eyes on the kids and the toddler rocket ship, ball pit and play area is front and center. In Clinton Township, you’ll find a dedicated toddler space that mirrors the play area for bigger kids.

Tumble Town (Commerce)

Tumble Town is an indoor play place that’s great for kids ages 1 to 7. The play structure is great for kids who love playing in ball pits – there is a virtual screen game and air tubes that will keep them busy (our kids couldn’t get enough). There are also obstacle courses and slides, including a sled slide. The structure is open enough that parents can easily sit in too. In addition to the main structure there is also a smaller space with rides and bikes for littles. The standalone air tube station is entertaining for all age. Same goes for the arcade games.

Kidcadia (Dearborn)

In addition to a large playset for older kids that includes a climbing tree, slides, trampoline and multiple climbing apparatus, Kidcadia has a dedicated play area for toddlers, lite bright + sensory walls, and coloring quarters.

Pkaboo Play Cafe (Dearborn)

Pkaboo was thoughtfully designed with younger children in mind, offering a fully enclosed play space packed with engaging, age-appropriate fun. The main play structure is perfectly sized for little ones while still accommodating adults who may need to assist. Popular features include both an automated merry-go-round and a self-propelled option for kids or helping adults, along with a smaller play structure featuring a slide, push toys, and a soft play area ideal for toddlers.

Bloom (Dearborn Heights)

Bloom is metro Detroit’s latest play cafe and divided into two areas: the main area, which has a variety of toys that include small parts, and another area intended for smaller children – which does not have any toys with small parts. You’ll also find a soft play area for non-walkers (although, the space is intriguing for the older kids too).

Kids Town @ Michigan Science Center (Detroit)

Kids Town at the Michigan Science Center reopened this winter and you’ll want to plan a visit. LIttles will love the miniature town designed to help kids explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts under the supervision of parents and caregivers. MiSci is open Tuesdays thru Sundays from 10am to 4pm.

Just Play (Dexter)

Just Play is a vibrant 24,000-square-foot indoor playground designed to delight kids of all ages but with extensive dedicated space toddler space with a multi-level imagination play station, net climber, ball pit, tumble area, carousel and more!

Stemville (Howell & Northville)

Let the kids embrace their creativity at Stemville! Stemville offers a place for kids to explore, imagine, design and create. With rotating toys and STEAM stations there is always something new and interesting to do.

Wonder World Play Cafe (Livonia)

Wonder World Play Cafe is a warm and inviting space that welcomes you with a colorful mural near the barista station and imaginative play houses. There are active play stations for littles and school age kids that let them ues their imagination, gross-motor skills and more.

Move & Groove (Northville)

Move and Grove indoor playground has everything you need to help the kids burn off their energy while giving mom and dad a break! With a designated enclosed infant area, soft play structure, balance beams, rock wall, slides, obstacle course and so much more – there is plenty to love. Move and Groove offers play that focuses on gross motor development for ages 0 to 8 and a community hub. You don’t have to worry about snack time, as food and drinks are available to purchase.

Agape Play Cafe (Sterling Heights)

The perfect spot for parents and kids to unwind and connect! Agpe Play Cafe offers a welcoming atmosphere where parents can mingle over a cup of coffee while the little ones enjoy a playful environment.
