The 2026 Woodward Dream Cruise returns on Saturday, August 15, bringing more than 40,000 classic cars and an estimated 1.5 million spectators to Woodward Avenue. Whether your little one is obsessed with Hot Wheels or simply loves watching cool cars cruise by, this iconic event is a fun (and mostly free) family tradition.

NEW! Get a First Look at the Ford Bronco Filson

If you have a car-loving crew, this is one Woodward Dream Cruise stop you won’t want to miss! Ford and Filson are teaming up to create the first-ever Ford Bronco Filson SUV, and Metro Detroit families will have a chance to see this rugged new collaboration up close during a special Open House at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Stop by the Bronco Corral in Ferndale for a relaxed, hands-on opportunity to check out the Bronco Filson, learn more about the collaboration between Ford and Filson, and get an up-close look at what makes this special 4×4 so unique. And there’s a little extra excitement for visitors: guests can enter for a chance to win one of three Bronco Filson prize packs!

Family Tips for the Dream Cruise

✔ Expect road closures throughout Woodward Avenue.

Parking Tips

Many local businesses, churches and community groups offer paid parking that benefits local organizations. If you’re planning to stay all day, arriving early makes parking much easier. Be prepared for road closures and heavy traffic around Woodward Avenue.
