242 Church in Ann Arbor has an amazing open to the public playscape, cafe, and open turf area! The climbing area has three slides for different levels of climbers. Test their strength and see if they can make it to the top!
The top has two telescopes for scoping out the rest of the play area. Here you have a eagle eye view of the entire playground. Parents can climb up too! Slide down the yellow slide – be prepared to go fast.
There is also a toddler area with two slides, a tunnel, and a hill. All covered in soft turf perfect for crawlers. In the center, is a sunk in area perfect for babies. Bring a few toys from home and watch them explore the new space.
There is plenty of seating for parents along the wall so you can watch your kids play (if you’re lucky). 242 Church also, offers free wifi, if you need to bring your work with you. Almost the entire play area can be seen from these seats.
Don’t forget to head upstairs for a fun game of follow the light! The interactive game gets kids moving trying to catch the ever-escaping light! Bring a ball and have a blast playing soccer, football, frisbee or catch in their open turf area.
You can also grab a bite to eat at the cafe. The cafe offers coffee, snacks, and lunch – kids meals are only $5. Relax by the fireplace and enjoy your food or head over to the picnic tables so you can watch the kids play.
242 Church is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm CLOSED Saturday and Sunday.
