Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park
Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park is a winter wonderland that lets you embrace the snow and cold during a day (or two) of outdoor family fun. Located within Muskegon State Park, this adventure hub lets you:
- Learn to luge on an Olympian-designed track — and yes, you don’t have to be a pro to give it a try.
- Hit ice skating trails through the woods and around the ice ponds
- Explore the great outdoors with cross-country skiing and snow shoeing
Muskegon Luge is open daily and rates are set based on activity. Kids age 7 and under don’t require a day pass. Equipment rental is available.

Muskegon Museum of Art
The Muskegon Museum of Art is great to visit any time of year but families will want to plan their visit around the Mo Willems & Friends exhibition. The delightful showcase celebrates the beloved children’s author and illustrator famous for Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and runs from March 12th thru May 31st
The museum is open Tuesdays thru Sundays and admission is $12 for adults and kids ages 16 and under are free!

USS Silversides Submarine Museum
Step aboard a real Gato-class WWII submarine, preserved as a museum ship along Muskegon Lake, where visitors can explore the tight quarters, see authentic naval technology, and learn about life beneath the waves during world-changing battles at the USS Silversides Submarine Museum.
The museum is open all year, Thursdays thru Mondays. Tickets are $18 for adults and $13 for kids ages 5 to 17.

Muskegon Museum of History & Science
Located downtown, the Muskegon Museum of History and Science is a hands-on children’s museum that is especially fun for young kids. Open year around Mondays thru Sundays, there are permanent and traveling exhibits to enjoy. a multi-site institution that brings local history to life for visitors of all ages. Exhibits trace over 400 million years of Michigan history and you can experience every moment in time!
