There’s lots to do in Detroit – and while most people know about the amazing playgrounds along the Detroit Riverfront and at Belle Isle, here are some neighborhood parks we love visiting as well!

Warren Gateway

The massive play structure at the Warren Gateway is beautiful to look at, fun to climb, and has a super speedy slide that will delight kids of all ages (and fun for adults too). Check out the additional slides, swings, and climbing structures to entertain and engage as well.

Chandler Park

The NEW playground at Chandler Park is fantastic for kids of all ages. A large obstacle course, giant slides, ninja gyms/climber, plenty of objects to swing and spin on plus a large toddler play area. The playground is also next to the skatepark and Wayne County Aquatic Center. The new parking lot is under construction but you can park infront of the playground on the street.

Riverside Park

Located next to the Ambassador Bridge, Riverside Park is a great place to play. Kids can climb and slide down the play structure, swing and spin on multiple structures (including a hammock and zipline), then cool down at the splash pad.

Palmer Park

Palmer Park not only has a large modern playground with eqiupment for kids of all ages, there’s also a free splash pad, historic log cabin, and beautiful walking paths in one of the city’s most beautiful parks. Be sure to visit Dutch Girl Donut on the other side of Woodward for a treat.

Clark Park

The NEW playground at Clark Park has it all – a fun climbing structure for kids, swings of all kinds, a natural play area, a cool sandbox with turtle statues, AND a splash pad!

Valade Park

The Detroit Riverfront has a many great attractions and play areas for kids. Valade Park is the perfect place to bring the sand toys and have some fun. If you want to cool down, take a walk to Mt. Elliott Splash Pad. And get ready for a massive new addition and one of the city’s soon-to-be largest playground at Centennial Park.
