Normandy Oaks

Normandy Oaks is a can’t miss for metro Detroit families. The 40-acre  park in Royal Oak, features a FREE splash pad, pavilion, restrooms, soccer fields, paved and natural surface trails and a playground that’s perfect for kids who love to climb. Lawson Park

With a giant climbing tower at the center of it all, your kids will love the multiple slides varying in heights, a variety of swings, climbing structures, and hands-on activations at Lawson Park. They’ll also enjoy basketball courts, soccer fields and a sand box! Address: 1300 Longfellow Avenue, Royal Oak

Milt Hey / Hudson Park

Royal Oak’s NEWEST playground is a winner and really unique. The climbing structures will create a fun ‘challenge’ for kids. There are also swings for all ages including a merry-go-round. Starr-Jaycee Park

Starr Jaycee Park features two playstrucutres including a large forest themed playset. The real star of Starr-Jaycee Park is Great Lakes Streamers FREE mini train rides that are offered on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month from 12pm to 4pm. Address: 1321 W 13 Mile Rd, Royal Oak

Sullivan Park

With a zip line, twister merri-go-round, climbing ropes, circular spinners and creative play equipment – Sullivan Park has unique playground features. It also has a cute toddler area and sandbox. Address:  Greenfield Road & Samoset Road, Royal Oak

Royal Oak Arboretum

Located next to the Royal Oak Senior Center, this playground is great for kids who love to climb and those with special needs. There is a playground for big kids and littles, a sandbox and swings. Address: 920 W Windemere Ave, Royal Oak, Mi 48073

Wendland Park

Located near 696, Wendland Park is a neighborhood park with a large play structure and sandbox. Address: Wendland Park, Royal Oak

Kenwood Park

Calling all climbers – Kenwood Park is for you. Tim e the kids as they race through the obstacle course and bring a ball for friendly competiion of baseball, soccer or tennis. Address:  Kenwood Ave & Forest Ave, Royal Oak

Franklin Park
