Bee Fest returns to the Belle Isle Nature Center on National Bee Day, Saturday, August 19th from 11am to 4pm for a celebration of Earth’s most important pollinators. Enjoy the FREE family activity and plan a trip to Belle Isle.
Bee Fest focuses on the important role bees play in our ecosystem and teaches guests how to care for these six-legged pollinators through fun activities and educational displays. Activities at Bee Fest include:
- Beekeeper talks
- Biodiversity presentations from Oakland University
- Pollinator-friendly arts and crafts
- Beeswax candle making
- Honey tastings
- Bee-friendly gardening tips
- Local vendors
- And much more!
