If you’re looking for a playground that’s worth the drive, Lower Huron Metropark should be at the top of your family’s summer bucket list. This incredible space-themed playground is one of the largest and most unique play spaces in Metro Detroit, featuring imaginative play areas, towering climbing structures, and inclusive equipment designed for kids of all ages and abilities.

Littles will love exploring the dedicated toddler zone with age-appropriate climbing features and interactive play panels, while older kids can spend hours conquering the massive multi-level playground inspired by outer space. Highlights include:

On sunny summer days, add Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center to the itinerary. It’s the perfect way to turn your playground visit into a full-day adventure.
Families can enjoy:
- Two exciting waterslides
- A relaxing lazy river
- A zero-depth entry pool that’s perfect for younger swimmers
- An interactive splash area with a giant 300-gallon dumping bucket
- Lap lanes, shaded seating, changing rooms, lockers, showers, and concessions (outside food and coolers are not permitted).
- Open daily June 6 through September 7
- 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Huron-Clinton Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter Lower Huron Metropark.
