Get ready for go-to adventures all summer long. BRICKLIVE debuts at the Detroit Zoo Memorial Weekend and sticks around for a summer of fun. Renew or sign up for a membership and enjoy countless visits to your favorite animals, rides on the Tauber Family Railroad, good times on the playground, and picnic near your favorite places.

BRICKLIVE brings more than 70 unique toy brick animal models to the Detroit Zoo – including a 7ft elk and 12ft giraffe. The 3-acre jungle of creativity is designed to inspire curiosity and joy in kids of all ages. The special experience runs May 27th thru September 4th. Add on the BRICK LIVE experience to your membership for only $45.

We highly recommend getting a family membership because it costs $125 for a family of 6 and a one-day visit for a family of 4 costs $92. It’s easy to make more than one visit to the Zoo because in addition to daily fun, there will also be special events to enjoy too!

  • Sensory Friendly Evenings (June 28th, July 24th, and August 30th): During Sensory Friendly Evenings, the Zoo and its attractions will be open to all visitors, but special accommodations will be in place to ensure the Zoo can be enjoyed by families and individuals of all abilities.
  • Animal Celebration Day: Learn about your favorite animals directly from animal care specialists, partake in hands-on activities and leave with an exclusive animal day passport card.
    • World Oceans Day – June 10th
    • International Tiger Day – July 29th
    • World Lion Day – August 10th
  • Summer Sips (July 28th): Here’s something for Mom and Dad! Enjoy a kid-free visit to the zoo and taste test specialty cocktails, beer, and wine after hours.
