Storytime: A Walk in the Forest (Tuesdays in November)
Discover the magic of nature through storytelling at Ford House! Dive into the pages of “A Walk in the Forest” by Maria Dek during the captivating Storytime sessions this November. Engage young minds in the wonders of the natural world as the tale unfolds. After the story, explore fall-themed sensory bins for hands-on, imaginative play. This program is free and a lot of fun.
Home for the Holidays (November 30 – December 22)
Step into a world aglow with the magic of the season at Home for the Holidays at Ford House. Enjoy a one-mile walk around the property as shimmering lights surround you. Along your walk, visit the Main Residence for a self-paced journey, witnessing how Eleanor Ford would have decorated the home for the holidays. Stop by the concessions tent for your complimentary hot chocolate, adding a delightful touch to your holiday excursion. And don’t forget to stop by and see Santa! Tickets are $28 for adults and $14 for kids (museum members receive a discount).
Cookies with Santa (December 7-21)
Listen in as your little ones share their Christmas wishes with the elf himself. Santa will make his annual stop at Ford House to visit with your children. This year, children will meet with Santa by the fireplace in the lakeside St. Clair Room in our Administration Building. You can snap your own family photos to cherish this holiday moment. Santa will send each child home with one of his favorite sweet treats. Children can also write a letter to Santa to be shared with him at their visit. Cookies with Santa takes place 2pm – 4:30pm on December 7th, 14th, 21st and 3pm – 7:30pm on December 12th and 19th
Brunch with Santa (December 8th & 22nd)
Gather your loved ones for a magical morning filled with joy and wonder. Indulge in a scrumptious hot breakfast buffet and watch the sparkle in your children’s eyes as they chat with Santa and share their holiday wishes. Capture those precious moments as Santa and Mrs. Claus visit each table, creating unforgettable memories with your family. Admission is based on tables. Table for three is $165, table for four is $220, and a table for 6 is $330 (museum members receive a discount)
Holiday Tea & Tour (December 15th)
Join in for tea steeped in holiday cheer. Savor every moment as you’re treated to a delightful three-tiered service brimming with holiday-inspired finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, decadent desserts, and a selection of teas to enchant your palate. Following this exquisite tea affair, wander through the iconic Main Residence on a self-paced exploration, discovering its rich history and festive charm. Admission is based on tables: Table for two is $150, three is $225, four is $300 (museum members receive a discount)
