All aboard! FREE outdoor fun awaits train lovers of all ages at David Shepherd Park in Oak Park.
The timeless storybook Freight Train by Donald Crews comes to life at David Shepherd Park, from the locomotive to the caboose kids will have fun climbing on the colorful train. You’ll find more than a train too, there’s also a giant truck, swings and traditional playground to keep the kids busy.
Make it a story time and bring your favorite train books to read, I shared a few of my favorites are below. The Oak Park Public Library is also located on the parks grounds if you are looking for new reads.
