Winter at Valade is back for another season. Visit the Detroit Riverfront for FREE family fun on weekends January 10th to March 1st.
Bundle up and head to the Detroit Riverfront for Winter at Valade Park! Every Saturday and Sunday from January 10th to March 1st you can enjoy sledding, bonfires/marshmallow roasters, curling, board games and dining.
Plan your visit for a themed weekend!
- Fire and Ice (Jan. 10 – 11): All weekend enjoy oversized fires, turkey legs, ice carving, vendors, live performances and more. The signature moment of the weekend is the lighting of the Fire and Ice Tower – a 7 foot ice structure that will become a giant bonfire once lit at 6 p.m. on Saturday.Elsa will also be joining in on the festivities this year!
- Winter Around The World (Feb. 14): Join the Detroit Riverfront for an interactive Lunar New Year celebration with the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization (MITAI), featuring a festive and colorful parade, lion, dragon and Nezha dances, hands-on arts and crafts and musical performances from a Chinese orchestra.
FREE parking is available across from the park in a gravel lot located at the corner of Atwater and Chene. There are also public restrooms!
