B.A.R.K. is a social reading program focused on children’s learning. This specialty program is specifically designed to help children with their reading and communication skills. A child will be paired with a therapy dog for a 15-minute reading session. We will have books available but feel free to bring your own as well. The Paws & Effect team provides support while the child gets supervised reading practice, helping to develop vocabulary, increase understanding, fluency, and confidence.

Registration is required for this program. To register either stop by the Youth Help Desk on the Lower Level or call (734)453-0750, option 5 for available appointment times or to be added to the waitlist. For children in grades 1st-6th.
