The DNR Outdoor Adventure Center welcomes friends and families with sensory processing differences to our sensory-friendly building hours!
Enjoy the opportunity to explore and experience the OAC with building sounds and ambient noises at a lower volume. During your visit, there will be a quiet room with sensory materials available to use. At noon, the building will open to the public, with volumes returning to standard operating levels. All staff are KultureCity-certified to ensure the best possible experience.
10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on the following days:
Saturday, June 10 – In addition to exploring the building, join us for fishing from 10-11:30am! Equipment, bait, and instruction will be provided. It’s Free Fishing Weekend! No fishing license is required for adults or children.
Saturday, July 1 – In addition to exploring the building, join us for fishing from 10-11:30am! Equipment, bait, and instruction will be provided. A daily fishing license is required for participants 17 years and older. Children under the age of 17 can fish with for free with adult assistance.
Saturday, August 5 – Join us for “Summer Fun!”
Sunday, October 1 – Come celebrate Halloween with us! Costumes or fun festive shirts are encouraged!
Sunday, December 3 – Join us for a “Winter Wonderland!”
