Registration Now Open for NFL FLAG Spring League in Metro Detroit

The NFL season may be wrapping up, but for kids across Metro Detroit, football fun is just getting started! This spring, NFL FLAG — the largest youth flag football organization in the country — is inviting boys and girls to get in the game with a fun, fast-paced season designed for all skill levels.

With more than 20 locations across Metro Detroit, it’s easy to find a team close to home. Whether your child is brand new to football or already loves tossing the ball around, NFL FLAG offers a welcoming, non-contact introduction to the sport — no tryouts, no pressure, just lots of fun and teamwork.

The Spring 2026 season kicks off April 19, but families need to act fast: registration for Metro Detroit closes February 22. Each season includes 7 practices and 6 games, with a one-hour practice held right before each one-hour game — making it easy to fit into busy family schedules. Players receive an official NFL FLAG reversible jersey and flag belt, and games are played 5-on-5, co-ed, and recreational to keep the focus on learning, confidence, and fun.

Teams are formed with about 8–10 players to maximize playing time, and leagues are available for kids ages 4–14. Registration typically ranges from $120–$155, depending on location.
