LittleGuide Detroit’s Stroller Roll event isn’t just a walk – it’s a family festival featuring touch-a-trucks, princesses and superheroes, inflatables, free treats, giveaways, and resources for parents. Best of all, admission is completely FREE!

What to Expect

Bring your stroller and spend the morning making memories with your little ones while exploring activity stations throughout the event. Families can meet local organizations, enjoy hands-on activities, and take home plenty of fun freebies.

Stroller Roll is Presented by Priority Health & supported by Delta Dental of Michigan – and together with amazing partners, the LittleGuide Detroit team will have an incredible lineup of children’s activities, touch-a-trucks, inflatables, character visits, FREE Diapers for all, and more.

  • Touch-a-Trucks featuring the Children’s Hospital of Michigan PANDA One Ambulance, Westland Fire Department fire trucks, and Wayne County Sheriff’s Mounted Officers.
  • Princess & Superhero Meet-and-Greets for magical photo opportunities.
  • Inflatables and interactive children’s activities, games, and family-friendly booths
  • Touch and hold live bugs and reptiles with The Reptarium.

The LittleGuide Detroit Stroller Roll is designed to connect Metro Detroit families with local organizations, businesses, and resources that make raising kids a little easier. It’s a great opportunity to discover family programs, meet other parents, and enjoy one of the region’s most beautiful parks.

Explore Hines Park After the Event

After you’ve visited the activity stations, stick around and enjoy Hines Park, one of Wayne County’s most popular parks. The scenic park features paved walking paths that are perfect for strollers, open green spaces for picnics, playgrounds, and plenty of room for kids to run and play.

Every Saturday during the summer months, six miles of Hines Drive from Nankin Mills to Outer Drive is closed to the public, allowing for safe open street usage by pedestrians and cyclists. In addition to Stroller Roll fun, you can also enjoy these activities:

  • Playgrounds: Nankin Mills Recreation Area + Merriman Hallow (1 mile from Nankin Mills) + Perrin Recreation Area (3.4 miles from Nankin Mills)
  • Bike Tracks: Littles will love the dirt + pump bike tracks at Hawthorne Ridge Recreation Area (1 mile from Nankin Mills)
  • Fishing: Check out the new fishing spot at Nankin Lake Dam, slight north of the Nankin Mills Recreation Area
