Dossin Great Lakes Museum: Saturday, February 1st
Visit the Shiver on the River eco fair! Friends of the Detroit River, in partnership with the Detroit Historical Society, will host the event inside the beautiful Dossin Great Lakes Museum from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The typical $5 admission fee to visit the museum will be waived during the event. Enjoy indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family! Concessions available for cash purchases.
Cranbrook Institute of Science: Friday, February 7th
Enjoy free admission to Cranbrook Science on Friday from 6pm to 10pm.
Museum of Contemportary Art of Detroit (MOCAD): Saturday, February 8th
Family Day activates the exhibitions for kids, youth, teens, and their grownups. All ages enjoy free admission and explore the galleries with opportunities to connect through hands-on art making, gallery chats, and activity guides! Join us on the second Saturday of every month, 11am-3pm.
Home Depot Kid Workshops: Saturday, February 8th
On the first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon, Home Depot hosts free in-person kid workshops.
Ann Arbor Art Center: Friday, February 14th
Drop into the A2AC Main Gallery this Valentine’s Day and make your own heartfelt cards using a variety of provided materials! This event is free and open to all ages. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
DIY-U by Lowe’s: Saturday, February 15th
Join DIY-U for a magical experience where mini builders will craft their own mesmerizing snowflake ornaments. This workshop runs from 9am – 1pm
Troy Historic Village: February 17th & 18th
Shake off some cabin fever and visit the Village free of charge. Explore historic buildings, go on a scavenger hunt, and see what fun programs are available at the Village. Great for all ages!
Michigan History Museum: Sundays, February, 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd
Beginning with Michigan’s first people’s, the Anishinaabe, and ending in the mid-20th century, take a 3-story tour through time at the Michigan History Center in Lansing. The museum’s hands-on exhibits look at the life and industry in interactive ways that give kids a chance to stroll from the wilderness to the copper mines and into the classroom. The Michigan History Center is open on Mondays thru Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 6 to 17 and children ages 5 and under are free. The Center is open on Sundays from 1pm to 5pm and admission is FREE!
