Looking for a free family night out this summer? Grab a blanket, pack your favorite movie snacks, and head to Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park for a brand-new FREE outdoor movie series along the Detroit Riverfront.
Hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, Movie Nights at Ralph Wilson Park take place every Wednesday evening from July 8 through August 12, giving families six opportunities to enjoy blockbuster movies under the stars at one of Metro Detroit’s newest waterfront destinations. Movies begin at 7pm, but guests are encouraged to arrive by 6pm to find a great spot, enjoy pre-show activities, and purchase food from on-site vendors. Advance registration is free.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for these family-friendly favorites:
- July 8: Hoppers
- July 15: Jaws (1975)
- July 22: Dreamgirls
- July 29: Jurassic Park (1993)
- August 5: GOAT
- August 12: Michael
Each movie begins at 7pm with food available for purchase throughout the evening. Families are welcome to bring their own blankets and snacks. Free registration is encouraged to reserve your spot.

Movie night is the perfect excuse to spend the day exploring one of Detroit’s new 22-acre Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park. Families won’t want to miss:
- The Delta Dental Play Garden, an incredible playground with larger-than-life animal inspired play spaces and slides for kids of all ages. Bring a swimsuit and let the kids splash around the Gilbert Family Foundation Water Wonderland
- The Huron-Clinton Metroparks Water Garden, featuring interactive water experiences, walking paths, native landscaping, and places to relax by the river.
- The William Davidson Sport House, home to covered basketball courts and year-round recreation.
