Climb in the driver’s seat, blast a siren, and see the machines that keep our community moving at one of metro Detroit’s largest Touch-A-Truck events happening at Greenmead Historical Park in Livonia.
Hosted by the Churchill High School Interact Club with support from the Livonia AM Rotary Club, this free family event is your chance to get up close to vehicles of all kinds—public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool. Kids can honk horns, explore construction equipment, meet local heroes, and learn how the machines work in real life.
For families who prefer a calmer experience, “Quiet Time” will be held from 8:30am to 10:30pm when horns and sirens will be paused for sensory-friendly fun.
Head to Greenmead Historic Village on Saturday, August 23rd from 8:30am to 2pm. Admission is free but a $5 donation is requested to support local causes including the Livonia Police and Fire Departments, the LPS Education Foundation, and other organizations that make a difference in the community.
