This holiday season, show support for families who are experiencing the Christmas away from home and in the hospital. LittleGuide Detroit is teaming up with Children’s Hospital of Michigan to help make holiday memories for patients and their families through the Snowpile program and Adopt A Family. It’s a great cause for amazing kids and we hope you’ll join us.
The Snowpile program at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, sponsored by The Children’s Foundation allows caregivers of patients in the hospital to rest a little easier during the holiday season by providing providing gifts for hospitalized children AND their siblings. LittleGuide Detroit will be collecting toys and dropping them off to the hospital on Friday, December 9th. Shop our Amazon Wishlist and help us give kids in our community a great Christmas.
Another way to help patients at Children’s Hospital is to sign up for their Adopt-A-Family program. The program is coordinated by the Social Work Department who selects families with one or more children who are patients at the hospital. Volunteer donors can select a family size of their preference to shop for. Individual families can adopt a family or you can partner with extended families, friends, scout troops or youth teams to buy the items on a Wish List. Gifts for the Adopt-A-Family program are to be dropped off between December 14th and 23rd.
