Tis the season. Whether you’re looking for a festive activity to fill the week, a cool outing for a family get together or a special gift for grandparents, here are the holiday light shows starting this week and running thru Christmas.
In addition to the light shows, a couple other anytime places for family fun this holiday season are Blake Farms (ice skating, igloos and u-cut trees), Great Lakes Crossings (Santa, shopping and school’s out amusement centers) and downtown Detroit (Cadillac Lodge, The Rink at Campus Martius and the Monroe Street Midway).
Wayne County Lightfest (Westland)
Put on your favorite holiday playlist and drive through the Hines Drive light show. Driving

The Gift of Lights (Lambertville)
This holiday season enjoy the beauty of lights in the warmth of your car at Indian Creek Zoo. Walking/Driving

Glenlore Trails Aurora (Commerce)
An immersive wintry experience for all ages. Visit Michigan’s original illuminated forest this holiday season! One mile outdoor path with interactive, story moments, and other entertainment. New features added regularly! Walking

Lights Before Christmas (Toledo)
With over one million lights, the award-winning Big Tree and 200+ illuminated animal images spread out across the Zoo, the electrical spectacle is sure to be both merry AND bright! Walking

Add some light to your holidays! Magic of Lights is a holiday drive-thru light display located in Clarkston, Michigan at the Pine Knob Music Theater. Driving

The Detroit Zoo will be aglow for 40 magical nights with more than five million LED lights illuminating trees, buildings and over 280 sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo.
