Looking for a meaningful way to teach your kids about kindness and giving back? This is one event your family won’t want to miss.
Back for its second year, LittleGuide is partnering with Kroger to host Kids Helping Kids: Backpack Stuffing Volunteer Event—a FREE family volunteer opportunity designed specifically for young children.
While many volunteer events have age restrictions, this special event gives kids of all ages the chance to make a real impact. Families will help stuff 1,000 backpacks with school supplies and healthy snacks that will be donated and distributed to local children across Metro Detroit as they head back to school.
Last year’s event was truly inspiring. Families came together to fill backpacks, and kids were at the heart of it all—learning firsthand that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Why Families Love This Event
Volunteering opportunities for young children can be hard to find, which is exactly why we created this event. Kids aren’t just invited—they’re the ones making the magic happen.
As they fill backpacks with supplies and snacks, they’ll help another child start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported.
