We love FREE – and splash pads! Nothing beats a splash pad on a summer day – swimsuits optional (you can keep your street clothes on), no sand in sight, and it’s safe for all ages. Pack a picnic and find a splash park near you!

Riverside Park Splash Pad – Auburn Hills


This splash pad offers in-ground sprinklers that are activated by a ground mounted activation button and steps for parents to sit on while they watch their little ones play. The splash pad is open from 2pm-6pm daily and  is free for both residents and non-residents.

Oxford Park – Berkley


The newer park and playground featurs a FREE 1600 square-foot natural splash pad area with sprayers both small and large (turn on by hitting the button at the entrance to the splash pad), a playground with climbing structures, multiple slides, and swings for both babies and older kids

Heritage Park Splash Playground – Canton


Canton’s recently renovated Splash Playground is a great way to cool off during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy sprinkler-style water features. Enjoy the recently added shade sail canopies, generously provided by a Wayne County Parks Millage. Please note: there is no admission fee to use Canton’s Splash Playground.

Mt. Elliot Splash Park – Detroit


Now open to the public, the completely renovated Mt. Elliott Park & Pavilion features a Great Lakes schooner-themed water feature with water cascades and “kid activated” water cannons, wind chimes and many other interactive features.

Riverside Park – Detroit


Riverside Park has it all a skate park, playground, free splash pad and the best views of the Detroit River!

Located next to the Ambassador Bridge, Riverside Park is a great place to play in the summer. Kids can climb and slide down the play structure, swing and spin on multiple structures (including a hammock and zipline), then cool down on the splash pad. While you play you can spot trucks on the bridge and ships on the Detroit River.

There is also a 15,000 sq ft skate park built by the Tony Hawk Foundation. Bring your bikes/skateboard or watch the hobbiest as they do their tricks.

Public restrooms are located next to the playground right along the river.

The splash pad is open daily from 12pm to 8pm. 

Palmer Park Splash Pad – Detroit


The Palmer Park Splash Pad offers multiple spray elements and dump buckets that are motion censored, this spray park is free and open from 12pm- 8pm.

Hemlock Park Splash Pad – Dearborn


Hemlock splash pad is a FREE fully fenced in play area with dump buckets, spray features and benches for parents to sit. Play in the water then take the kids to the playground to dry off before the trip home!

Crowley Park – Dearborn


Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day at Crowley Park! With fully accessible play equipment, soccer fields, tennis courts and a FREE splash pad, you can let the kids run and play and bring them home tired!

Morningside Park & Splash Pad – Dearborn


Get ready for a day of fun! Morningside Park has a play structure with turf, a splash pad with spray features and a fence surrounding the entire perimeter.  With plenty of open space parents can set up a picnic, relax and let the kids run the paths connecting both play areas.

Whitmore-Bolles Park Splash Pad – Dearborn


With gentle misters, spray features and dump buckets there is something for everyone at Whitmore-Bolles Park Splash Pad. Just outdid of the splash pad seating is available at picnic tables and benches as well as a designated picnic area,

Heritage Park Splash Pad – Farmington Hills


The Splash Pad is located inside Heritage Park on Farmington Road between 10 & 11 Mile. It is a series of fountains and sprayers that is fun for kids of all ages, and is FREE to the public. Plan a picnic or stop by after a swim lesson! Stop in at our Snack Shack located adjacent to the Splash Pad for treats and refreshments.  And explore the Nature Discovery Trail, which connects the Splash Pad to the Nature Center.

Community Park – Flat Rock


Community Park, also known as Fountain Park is an awesome FULLY fenced in wooden park! Reminding you of a castle, it is partially shaded by huge mature trees. It hosts swings, sandbox, slides. This park also offers plenty of hiding places, climbing adventures and a smaller toddler area. The splash pad has water shooters, multiple spray features and fountains. The hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., open daily through Labor Day. To activate the water, simply tap the top of the activation bollard.

Martin Road Park – Ferndale


Martin Road Park features two separate play structures, a splash pad, basketball hoop, baseball diamonds, a soccer field, large pavilion, huge shade trees, indoor bathroom, and a sledding hill for winter months. The first playground hosts two structures – one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. Two swing sets, for both infants and older kids as well. Four different slides, a firepole and a climbing wall. This structure is located near the stairs of the sledding hill and is a bit further away from the splash pad. The second newer play structure is much closer to the splash pad. It is partially shaded and features a telescope, three different slides and monkey bars. It is located close to the bathroom and pavilion as well.

Lake St. Clair Metropark Splash Pad – Harrison Township


Kids love to run, skip and jump through our Squirt Zone Spray Ground, with geyser-like ground sprays, water cannons to spray friends, arches that create tunnels of water, and much more. Located between the swimming pool and the open waters of Lake St. Clair, this is a great stop on a warm summer day.  

Open – Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (daily)

Jessica’s Splash Pad – Novi


In honor of Jessica Starr, the late Fox 2 meteorologist and mom of 2, this park is an incredible way for local families to make new memories together! Her family, along with Novi Parks welcome all to this FREE Splash Pad at Bosco Field – where it include weather-themed features, new restrooms and indoor changing rooms, showers, and great turf area for families to gather, relax, toss a ball, and have fun!
Jessica’s Splash Pad is open 10am-8pm DAILY starting the Saturday of Memorial Day through Labor Day (weather permitting).

Seymour Lake Township Park – Oxford


This 132-acre park has four lighted tennis courts, four softball fields (two lighted), four baseball fields, eight premier soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, Smith Silo, Prince Pavilion & Hanson Pavilion, fitness trail, the “Red Flyer Run” sledding hill, 18 hole Disc Golf course, two sand volleyball courts, basketball court, Gaga Ball pit, 14 acre multipurpose complex, our Community Build Playground “Kids Kingdom”, swing sets, restrooms and the K.L.R. Splash Pad.

Handy Park Splash Pad – Redford


This car themed splash pad is fully fenced in and features dump buckets, sprinklers and a “car wash” for kids to run through.

Memorial Park Splash Pad -River Rogue


This 5200 sqaure-foot splash pad hosts 28 water features including dump buckets, water cannons and a designated toddler area. With benches throughout and a family area it’s the perfect place for a summer picnic, or check out their movies in the park events!

Normandy Oaks – Royal Oak


The 40-acre park in Royal Oak, features a splash pad, pavilion, restrooms, soccer fields, sledding hill, paved and natural surface trails and a new playground. It’s the perfect place to play with easy parking and it’s all FREE!

Indian Springs Spray n’ Play – White Lake


Children will enjoy the splash pad located within Indian Springs Metropark’s Spray ‘n’ Play. Get soaked by ground sprays, water cannons, and a dumping bucket. The spray park is located adjacent to other play features including a rock-climbing wall, cargo net, a fenced maze, a painted labyrinth, spinning buckets, and a hillside slide.

Civic Center Park- Woodhaven


Civic Center Park in Woodhaven offer everything you need from a park. Start your day at the northend of the park and let the littles run around the new inclusive playground featuring three large structures and smaller objects for kids to climb on. There are plenty of swings and Safety Town with mini houses (it makes for a fun game of family hide and seek).

The splash pad is a hit for kids of all ages with plenty of greenspace, shaded seats and tables for parents to sit and watch from the sidelines. Restrooms are available as well.
