Fire & Ice Festival

Friday, January 14 – Sunday, January 16

@ Valade Park, Detroit

Fire and Ice weekend will feature some of your favorites from a renaissance fair – roaming characters, a LARP meet up, blacksmith and glass blowing demos and period music, mixed with some winter fun like an ice carving competition, a 7-foot ice tower that will incase a giant bonfire, and warm up with a techno dance party on Saturday night.

Enjoy safari themed ice sculptures, an ice carving competition, live carvings, marshmallow roasting, shopping, The Big, Bright Light Show and Fireworks Friday & Saturday night!

Ice Sculpture Festival

Saturday, January 15 & Sunday, January 16

@ Downtown Tecumseh

Downtown Tecumseh will have over 35 ice sculptures for you to see. Also new this year, life size balloon sculptures will adorn the sidewalks during the event. Try your hand at our Scavenger Hunt through the participating merchants.

@ Oak Park Community Center

Winterfest is Sunday, Jan. 16 from 2-5 pm on the Community Center grounds and at the Oak Park Ice Arena. This event is free and is a perfect way to embrace the joys of winter….hot chocolate, chili, s’mores, crafts, reindeer and more!

The Dexter Ice Fest is committed to spreading the word about our Dexter Businesses and helping our community thrive through event outreach and marketing efforts. We have partnered up with Ice Dream Sculptures, who creates the most beautiful ice sculptures.

@ Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center

Head to the Nature Center for a fun-filled day of snow-related games and activities. Weather permitting, take part in the snow fort contest. If you need a minute to warm up, there will be a fire going in the fire ring for hot dogs, buns, marshmallows and roasting sticks. There will also be winter crafts and hot chocolate inside.

Warren Cold Rush

A whole day of fun at Warren’s Cold Rush! Activities throughout the day include ice carving, ice skating, Elsa & Anna visits, petting zoo, gaming trailer, bon fires to keep you warm, hot cocoa & smore’s and more!

@ Belle Isle Nature Center

Head to the Belle Isle Nature Center Saturday, January 29th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and celebrate all things nature in the winter. This family-friendly event features ice carving, s’mores, snowshoeing, winter hikes, crafts, outdoor activities and more! Winterfest is an outdoor-only event and no pre-registration required.

Blizzard Blast

@ Green Acres Park, Royal Oak

Bundle up and get ready “fir” some frigid fun! Hazel Park Recreation and Oakland County Parks and Recreation are hosting a FREE outdoor Winter forest festival themed event on Sunday, January 30th in Green Acres Park. Event will include Winter nature craft, snowshoeing, snow art and more.

Ice Carving Festival

@ County Farm Park, Ann Arbor

Enjoy refreshments and activities as you watch ice carvers create amazing works of art. Carvers will use techniques that involve flamethrowers, chainsaws and more!

The Plymouth Ice Festival invites you to explore downtown Plymouth, with sidewalks lined with ice carvings. To help with social distancing, we are spreading ice carving displays, in front of merchants and restaurants, in the downtown area.

The event will feature an outdoor skating rink, ice sculptures, live music, family activities, marshmallow roasters, the Winter Slide and more.

@ Southfield Pavilion

This free, family event will feature fun inside and out including Snow Tubing and an Iditarod program and pictures with the TUN-DRA Kennels sled team at the Southfield Public Library, along with Winter Fest favorites like marshmallow roasting, ice skating (indoors) and horse-drawn carriage rides.
