Fire & Ice Festival

Friday, January 6 – Sunday, January 8

@ Valade Park, Detroit

Head to Winter at Valade’s Fire and Ice festival for a weekend with oversized fires, turkey legs and an ice carving competition. Try your hand at archery and ax throwing, or take your picture on our Iron Throne – made of ice, of course! Frozen’s Elsa and Renaissance Fair performers will be wandering the park for additional photo opportunities. The signature moment of the weekend is Fire and Ice Tower – a 7 foot ice structure that will become a giant bonfire once lit at 6pm on Friday. You don’t want to miss it!

Winter Fest

Saturday, January 14

@ Adams Butzel Recreation Center, Detroit

Head to the Adams Butzel Recreation Center for an afternoon of winter fun. Stop by the Wintercade for bumper cars, laser tag, mechanical snowboarding, and more. Try ice fishing, go on a carraige ride and meet with Ana, Elsa and Olaf!

Fire & Ice Festival

@ Downtown Rochester

The Fire & Ice Festival in Downtown Rochester is back for another year of family fun and festivities! On Jan. 20-21, 2023, enjoy the ice sculptures along Main Street, ice skating rink, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, fireworks, food trucks and tent, and so much more!

Winter Around The World

Friday, January 20 – Sunday, January 22

@ Valade Park, Detroit

Winter Around the World will feature an international food truck rally and dance performances showcasing a variety of styles and genres by Detroit artists. Don’t miss the Lunar New Year Celebration presented by the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization on Sunday from 1-4pm.

Ice Sculpture Festival

Saturday, January 21 & Sunday, January 22

@ Downtown Tecumseh

Downtown Tecumseh will have over 35 ice sculptures for you to see. There will also be life size balloon sculptures that will adorn the sidewalks during the event. Try your hand at our Scavenger Hunt through the participating merchants.

Dexter Ice Festival

The Dexter Ice Fest is will feature 70 sculptures and 6 live demonstrations.

Warren Cold Rush

A day of fun at Warren’s Cold Rush! Activities throughout the day include ice carving, free ice skating, bon fires to keep you warm, hot cocoa & smore’s and more!

#StrongerTogether Ice Fest

@Downtown Lake Orion & Oxford

All month long you can walk through both downtowns and marvel at the beautiful ice carvings! Every Thursday in February, Lake Orion will be host to live themed ice carvings from 5-8pm and you can travel back and forth between Lake Orion & Oxford with a complimentary shuttle!

The Plymouth Ice Festival invites you to explore downtown Plymouth, with sidewalks lined with ice carvings. To help with social distancing, we are spreading ice carving displays, in front of merchants and restaurants, in the downtown area.

This FREE event in Oakland Township is held no matter the weather. They’ve got ice carving demos, a stilt walker, snow games, archery, ice skating, balloon and magic show! But don’t worry – they’ve also got warming tents and indoor bathrooms.

Berkley WinterFest

@ Berkley Community Center Lawn

WinterFest is a FREE annual event designed to embrace the cold weather and celebrate Michigan’s winter season. It is a great event for whole family – all activities will be held outdoors and include ice sculptures, a petting farm, bouncers, and more!

Ice Carving Show

@ Downtown Mount Clemens

Live ice carving demonstrations all weekend long starting at noon each day! Many downtown businesses will be open for the show, offering a place to warm up and relax indoors. Maps of where each sculpture will be located will be available at the Fountain Stage and in all downtown businesses.

Clarkston WinterFest

Bring your skates and come to this FREE, safe ice skating event for the whole family. Hot chocolate, DJ music and a campfire for s’mores!

Ice Carving Festival

Enjoy refreshments and activities as you watch ice carvers create amazing works of art. Carvers will use techniques that involve flamethrowers, chainsaws and more!

Are you ready for a day of family activities and fun in Hartland Township?! There’s something for everyone as we celebrate the winter season with sledding, entertainment, food, and ice skating. The night will conclude with a fireworks show at dusk.

Winter Blast Weekend

@ Downtown Royal Oak

The event will feature an outdoor skating rink, ice sculptures, live music, family activities – including a snow slide, learn to snowboard, zip line and more!
