Fire & Ice Festival (Detroit)
Friday, January 10 – Sunday, January 12
Head to Winter at Valade’s Fire and Ice festival– Friday, January 10 through Sunday, January 12 – for tons of medieval fun with a winter twist! All weekend enjoy oversized fires, turkey legs and an ice carving competition. Try your hand at ax throwing, or take your picture on our Iron Throne – made of ice, of course! Frozen’s Elsa and Renaissance Fair performers will be wandering the park for additional photo opportunities. The signature moment of the weekend is Fire and Ice Tower – a 7 foot ice structure that will become a giant bonfire once lit at 6pm on Saturday. You don’t want to miss it!
World of Winter (Grand Rapids)

The World of Winter is a FREE outdoor festival that takes over downtown Grand Rapids’ parks every year. Bundle up and walk along the Grand River to find a variety of larger-than-life art installations, interactive ice activities, selfie stations and more! This is the Midwest’s LARGEST winter festival and it’s only 2 hours away.
Frost Festival (Rochester)

Frost Fest is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages. Activities include ice sculptures, ice cornhole, marshmallow roasting and more!
Tecumseh Ice Sculpture Festival

Downtown will have over 45 ice sculptures for you to see. Check out the dueling carvers competition on Saturday and help decide who will win! The Michigan Avian Experience returns with their majestic eagle for everyone to see.
Dexter Ice Festival

Head to downtown Dexter to see over 80 incredible ice sculptures and watch live ice carving demos in action! This year, take part in the first-ever Cocoa Crawl, with local restaurants and shops offering special deals and sales all day long.
BRRmingham Blast (Birmingham)

Head to Downtown Birmingham for a winter family fun festival! Bundle up and fly through the sky on a zip line or get toasty in a warming tent with savory favorites and warm sweets from local food trucks.
Aqua Freeze Festival (St. Clair Shores)

Ice Carving, horse drawn wagon rides, food trucks and beer tent, putt-putt, live music and more at Blossom Heath Park. FREE entry.
Fire & Ice Show (Franklin)

Head to Franklin Library for ice sculpting with exceptional ice artist Tajana from Ice Dreams Sculptures and, new this year, fire performer Lady Xena will do fire magic with fire eating, breathing, swords and more!
Winter Carnival (Oakland Township)

This FREE event in Oakland Township is held no matter the weather. They’ve got ice carving demos, snow games, archery, snow snake luge, broom ball, snowshoes, ice skating, puppet and magic show! But don’t worry – they’ve also got warming tents and indoor bathrooms.
Winterfest (Dryden)
Saturday, January 25th
Head to Seven Ponds Nature Center for Winterfest. There will be hot dogs for roasting over a fire, pond dipping, lawn games, ice cutting, ice skating, a snowman building competition, and interpretive walks outside. In the event there is not sufficient snow or ice, alternative activities will be provided. Admission is $3 per person and pre-registration is required.
Winterfest (Oak Park)

This annual family-friendly event, hosted by the City of Oak Park and Oak Park Recreation has something for everyone. There will be horse and carriage rides thru the park, petting zoo (reindeer only), ice carving, hot chocolate, ice skating, s’mores and more! Don’t miss out on this FREE event!
Zehnder’s Snowfest (Frankenmuth)

Take a road trip to Frankenmuth for Snowfest! Enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings in addition to entertainment for the entire family, fireworks, petting zoo and children’s activities.
Plymouth Ice Festival

The Plymouth Ice Festival invites you to explore downtown Plymouth, with sidewalks lined with ice carvings. To help with social distancing, we are spreading ice carving displays, in front of merchants and restaurants, in the downtown area.

Join the Detroit Riverfront for Winter Around the World featuring a Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday, February 16. There will be an international food truck rally and dance performances showcasing a variety of styles and genres by Detroit artists.
