Bundle up and enjoy a night of family fun during Midtown Detroit’s 50th Annual Noel Night on Saturday, December 7th.
Save the date and get ready for a full evening of entertainment. Noel Night brings together over 100 venues for a walkable holiday event that offers festive celebrations inside and out. Shop local, see stunning art installations, indulge in seasonal treats, take in live music and art demonstrations and create memorable family crafts.
Noel Night is an opportunity to experience some of Detroit’s most popular cultural institutions all at once, the Michigan Science Center, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Public Library, MOCAD and more will all open their doors for unique holiday experiences.

- Living animals of the Nativity on Woodward Lawn and Crafts for Children @ Cathedral Church of St. Paul
- An Organ Tour for Children and Children at Heart with Melodia Mouse and Major Octave @ Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 6:30pm – 7pm
- Free cider & donuts, Santa, and kids crafts @ Detroit Public Library, 3pm – 6pm
- Family-friendly cultural performance @ Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 7pm & 8pm
- Walkthrough snow globe experience @ Michigan Science Center, 11am – 5pm
- 4D Theater – live wintery science demos @ Michigan Science Center, 11am – 5pm
- MSU mascot, Sparty, arrives for photos and holiday cheer @ Michigan State Univ Detroit Center, 6:30pm – 7:15pm
- Hands-on holiday art projects @ The Scarab Club
- Decorate your own gingerbread person, make a snowman, play carnival games, and more @ WSU Old Main
- Children’s play area @ WSU Park, 12pm – 9pm
- FREE planetarium shows (plan to get tickets in advance starting at 3pm due to limited space) @ WSU Planetarium, showtimes are as follows: 4pm, 5pm, 7pm, & 8pm
