If you’re looking for family fun this winter, head to The Ribbon in Toledo for a unique ice skating experience all ages will enjoy.

Glass City Metropark is a favorite, located along the Maumee River wtih beautiful views of the city skyline it’s the perfect place to visit any time of year with walking trails, playgrounds, the National Museum of the Great Lakes and The Ribbon!

The Ribbon is a 1,000 foot loop trail connected to a 5,000 square-foot rink called “The Pond” that offers a traditional skating experience for beginners and those taking a break from the trail. During the winter months its an ice rink and during hte summer it’s a roller rink. Skate rental and skating assist items are available for rental.

One of the coolest features of The Ribbon is the Cabana Village. Families can reserve a cabana that hosts up to 15 people and offers  a private fire pit, warming heaters, and seasonal drinks and delicious food delivered to you from The Garden by Poco Piatti. Rental for 10 people ranges from $125 to $175.

Due to its popularity, reservations are encouraged but not required for the 90 minuter skating sessions. Rates are $10 for general admission, kids ages 4 to 12 are $6 and skate rental is $2. Skate Trainer and mini zamboni toddler carts are $8 to rent.

Skating hours are Mondays and Tuesdays (5pm/7pm); Wednesday (1pm/3pm); Thursdays (3pm/5pm/7pm); Fridays (1pm/3pm/5pm/7pm/9pm); Saturdays (11am/1pm/3pm/5pm/7pm) and Sunday (11am/1pm/3pm/5pm)

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Reservations Recommended.

GLOW Skate at The Ribbon, presented by Meijer
