Spring break is quickly approaching and we all love a quick trip! Check out Castaway Bay in Sandusky for a quick 2 hour away getaway.
Castaway Bay is a quick 2 hour drive south from the Metro Detroit area making it the perfect overnight waterpark trip. The waterpark features a wave pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, activities pool with basketball hoops and floating obstacles, kiddie splashpad area with slides, dump bucket activity area for older kids and tons of slides!
There is plenty of seating for those who’s kids are old enough to swim solo. There are also 4 slides for kids who are taller as well. The waterpark is open until 10pm! Or retire early from the waterpark and check out the massive arcade area. Or meet the Castaway Characters at one of their many interactive shows. We really enjoyed the morning yoga exercises! Bonus they have restaurants on site so you never have to leave! (Mom hack: pack instant coffee! They do not have coffee pots in their rooms)
