There’s even more to love at the Sloan Museum of Discovery – the fan-favorite Great Lakes Water Table in the Discovery Hall Hands-On Science Gallery is open again! Kids can dive into fun, hands-on exploration as they build, splash, and experiment with water features designed to encourage creativity and STEM learning – now with less mess.
Whether your kids love to imagine, build, or just get a little wet, this interactive exhibit is the perfect place to play. And with plenty of seating nearby, caregivers can relax while little ones stay engaged for hours.
The Sloan Museum is one of our favorite places to visit with 5 unique museum areas: Walk through the history mid-Michigan and enjoy hands-on exhibits, check out cars through time at the Durant Vehicle Gallery, learn about science in Discovery Hall, let littles play at Hagerman Street and get creative in the makerspace.
Don’t Miss the Final Weeks of Hall of Heroes
While you’re there, suit up and save the day with a visit to the Hall of Heroes exhibit – but hurry! This action-packed experience is only open through Sunday, September 7th. Step inside a world of superheroes and comic book adventures where families can:
- Explore a replica of the 1960s Batmobile
- Test their strength and speed with interactive stations
- Discover the science behind superpowers like flight, invisibility, and x-ray vision
- It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia for adults and excitement for kids – a must-see for every hero-loving family.
