The holiday season is officially here and we’re excited for all things that can brighten up our festivities. Bundle up and head outside for a family walk under LED lights at the zoo, on a nature trail or in a historic village at a holiday event happening around town.

Holiday Nights (Dearborn)

Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village offers yuletide fun for all ages. Admission includes FREE carousel rides, cooking demonstrations, Carolers and live music performances, Santa and live reindeer, skilled artisans demonstrations, and more!

Winter Wonder Lights (Rochester) 

Winter Wonder Lights transforms Meadow Brook Hall at night into a breathtaking light show featuring music, seasonal treats and holiday magic. Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event featuring unique light displays across the grounds of the estate. Enjoy fun concessions such as glow-in-the-dark cotton candy and hot meals at the outdoor café. There will be seasonal and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires and more!

Trail of Lights (Davison)

Take a horse drawn carriage ride through the Trail of Lights, holiday music, hot chocolate and a take home craft from the Santa Station.

Wild Lights (Royal Oak):

The Detroit Zoo will be aglow for 40 magical nights with more than five million LED lights illuminating trees, buildings and over 500 festive displays, your kids will love the interactive holiday activity. New this year you can immerse yourself in a childhood wonderland with life-sized sculptures in Toyland that are perfect for family photo-ops.

Cookies with Santa @ Ford House (Grosse Pointe Shores):

Listen in as your little ones share their Christmas wishes with the elf himself. Santa will make his annual stop at Ford House to visit your children. You can snap your family photos to cherish this holiday moment. Santa will send each child home with one of his favorite sweet treats.
