Lower Rouge Trail (Canton)

Heritage Park Nature Discovery Trail (Farmington Hills)
Heritage Park is a 211-acre park with 4.5 miles of trails that range from short Storybook walk to natural terrain adventure. The .18 mile walk has hands-on activities throughout to keep kids engaged and entertained. The Nature Discovery Trail connects the playground to the Nature Center which offers FREE admission. Newburgh Lakeview Trail (Livonia)

Red Oaks Nature Trail (Madison Heights)

Maybury State Park (Northville)
Maybury State Park offers 6 miles of hiking trails with loops of multiple distances. ‘Get lost’ and try to find the interior playground or enjoy the modern structure with zip line chairs, ropes course, fast slides and a firetruck located next to the parking lot and Maybury Farm. The state park also features fishing docks and public restrooms.
Stony Creek Metropark (Shelby Township)
The nature trails are comprised of areas of compact gravel, bare soil and mowed grasses. Many stretches of the trails have a marked increase in elevation with steep inclines and slopes. Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve (Southfield)
Get a Rocky Mountain experience close to home and let the kids climb on rocky terrain, hills and pathways.
