St. Patrick’s Day Family Swim (Birmingham)

Friday, March 13: 6:30pm – 8pm

Make a splash before St. Patrick’s Day at Goldfish Swim School Birmingham during their festive St. Patrick’s Day themed Family Swim! Families can enjoy an evening of swimming along with colorful snacks and a fun rainbow-themed craft for kids.

Admission is $5 per person (max $15 per family) or a makeup token. Payment for non-members will be collected the day before the event.

Run For Gold 5k & Kids Fun Run + Parade (Pickney)

Saturday, March 14: 10am to 12pm

Kick off the St. Patrick’s Day festivities with a family-friendly 5K and Kids Fun Run in downtown Pinckney. The 5K begins at 10am followed by the Kids Run at 11am, with awards presented at 11:30am. The celebration continues with the Pinckney St. Patrick’s Day Parade, beginning at People’s Church and traveling east on M36 through downtown before ending at the Town Square. After the parade, enjoy traditional pipe band performances in the square.

Leprechaun Day @ Canterbury Village (Lake Orion)

Saturday & Sunday, March 14 & 15: 11am to 5pm

Those mischievous leprechauns are back at Canterbury Village! Families are invited to explore the village searching for hidden lucky coins scattered around the grounds. Collect up to 10 coins and trade them in at participating shops for prizes. The festive day also includes bounce houses, magic shows and Irish dancing, making it a perfect outing for kids.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Royal Oak)

Saturday, March 14: 12pm

Grab something green and head to Royal Oak for this lively community parade. The parade begins at Royal Oak Middle School, travels south on Washington Avenue and continues west on West 7th Street. Families are encouraged to decorate bikes, wagons and even pets in festive green gear for a fun celebration of Irish tradition.

St. Patrick’s Day Bingo @ Brownstown Event Center (Brownstown)

Help the SELCRA Leprechaun search for missing gold! This family-friendly event includes crafts, games, a leprechaun gold hunt and a goodie bag for participants. It’s a fun and festive way for kids to celebrate the holiday.

Sunday, March 15: 1pm to 3pm

Head into the woods for a St. Patrick’s Day adventure! Families will use a map to search for hidden gold coins and treasures along the trails. This outdoor event is recommended for kids ages 5 and up and is a great way to combine nature and holiday fun.

Detroit’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade @ Corktown (Detroit)

Sunday, March 15: 1pm to 3pm

Celebrate Irish heritage at one of Detroit’s most beloved traditions. Find a spot along the historic brick road of Michigan Avenue between 6th and 14th Streets to watch color guards, floats, marching bands and novelty groups. The parade kicks off at Michigan Avenue and Sixth Street and runs for approximately two hours.

Leprechaun Hunt @ For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum (Burton)
