The wait is over, the Polk Penguin Conservation Center is once again open at the Detroit Zoo. Start planning your trip to visit the penguins.

The Polk Penguin Conservation Center has been closed for over 2 years due to repairs but the wait if finally over to visit the Zoo’s star attraction. The 326,000-gallon, 25-foot-deep aquatic area offers breathtaking views of penguins behaving as they would in the wild. And the underwater gallery and two acrylic tunnels allows visitors an up close look to watch penguins waddle, dive and swim under water.

The Detroit Zoo is open daily from 10am to 4pm. Reservations are not required but discounts are available for tickets purchased in advance. Admission ranges from $14 to $23 for adults and $11 to $18 for children. Parking is $8.
