Michigan State Fair (Novi)

The fair honors Michigan’s rich farming heritage while offering five days of fun, excitement, and family-friendly entertainment over Labor Day weekend.

Explore the fine art festival, sample food from local restaurants, listen to a variety of performers on one of 9 stages and have fun in the family zone. The Detroit News Kids Zone will host a variety of interactive, educational and fun performances throughout the weekend, crafting stations, inflatable bounce houses and kiddie carnival rides.

The Northville Victorian Heritage Festival celebrates the rich history and small town charm of the Northville community with Victorian children’s games, children’s crafts, live music, and of course the Annual Northville Duck Race!
St. Anne Sausage Festival (Warren)

This annual tradition features food, rides, Vegas games, live entertainment, dancing and more!
DIY Street Fair (Ferndale)
September 25 – September 27
Live music will fill the streets as the Main Stage presents a lineup of local and regional performers, while food lovers can indulge at Restaurant Row, where Ferndale’s vibrant culinary scene will be on display with snacks, meals, and treats served throughout the day. The Marketplace will highlight a curated collection of more than 150 artists, crafters, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits offering handmade goods and original creations. Another highlight is the Youth Art Fair on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ferndale Library Courtyard.
Fire & Flannel Festival (Wyandotte)

Fire & Flannel Fest is an exciting Fall festival where everything is centered around Fire and Flannel. The festival has entertainment for everyone; including lumberjack shows, carnival, axe throwing, fire performers, glass blowing, and live chainsaw carvings.

Bring the whole family to enjoy hands-on activities like climbing on real tractors, scaling the giant hay pyramid, rolling strikes in pumpkin bowling, and trying your hand at punkin’ chunkin’ (cost applies). Come and enjoy the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm’s signature event – the Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival. Daytime activities include food, pumpkin bowling, live entertainment, crafts, a Rochester Hills Fire Truck, and more! Guests are invited to carve a pumpkin and place it on the stone walls surrounding the Museum property and return in the evening to see all the pumpkins lit up!
