It’s finally Spring! Longer and warmer days are coming soon and we can’t wait to get out of the house. Pull out the calendar and start making plans!

Lantern FESTIVALS
Hit the road and head to Grand Rapids. The 2-hour drive is well worth the visit to experience the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival at John Ball Zoo. The mesmerizing event runs from April 9th to June 15th and it’s one of our FAVORITE annual events! And that’s why we’re extra excited to learn there is also a Wonderland Lantern Walk happening at Canterbury Village in April.

April In The D
Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers is Friday, April 4th (Kids Day is Sunday, April 6th), it’s a play-off push at Little Caesars Arena for both the Red Wings and the Pistons. The Michigan Panthers are back for another season, and we can’t wait for more football at Ford Field!

Greenfield Village Opening & MORE
All aboard! Greenfield Village opens for the 2025 season on April 12th – members get early access on April 11th! We recommend getting a family membership for value. Not only can you visit the animals, ride the train and enjoy a trip to the past in the Village but you can check out the Wallace & Gromit™ and Shaun the Sheep™: Shear Genius! exhibit before it ends on April 20th. Members also enjoy BIG savings for A Day Out with Thomas. The annual event returns in May but tickets go on sale in April.
