Looking for a family-friendly water park that’s close to Metro Detroit? Pack your swimsuits and sunscreen and head to Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center at Lower Huron Metropark. Located in Belleville, this outdoor aquatic center offers all the fun of a water park with the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of one of Southeast Michigan’s most popular Metroparks. Families can easily spend an entire day splashing in the water, exploring playgrounds, biking trails, paddling the Huron River, and enjoying a picnic along the scenic riverfront.

As the largest aquatic facility in the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system, Turtle Cove is designed for visitors of all ages. The water park features two large waterslides, a lazy river, a zero-depth entry pool, and a kid-friendly sprayscape complete with a giant 300-gallon dumping bucket. The gradual-entry pool makes it easy for younger children to splash and play, while older kids can race down the waterslides or float along the lazy river. Families will also find shaded seating areas, family changing rooms, lockers, showers, and on-site concessions at The Grille.

Metropark vehicle admission is required in addition to aquatic center admission. Daily vehicle permits are $10 per vehicle, or visitors can purchase an annual Metroparks pass.
