Dinosaurs are coming to the Michigan Science Center in Detroit this fall! Tyrannosaurs – Meet The Family opens in October.

Something BIG is coming to Mi-Sci! Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family showcases an extraordinary collection of tyrannosaur skeleton casts, fossils, and life-size displays that will transport guests back millions of years to the Cretaceous Period when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

  • Meet Scotty, the 15-foot skeleton cast from a fossilized T. Rex discovered in Saskatchewan.
  •  Compare Scotty to three life-sized T. Rex cousins — Daspletosaurus, Albertosaurs, and Lynthronax
  •  Take a look at real T. Rex fossils on exhibit!

This multi-sensory exhibition features a diorama, a 30-foot-long screen projection tunnel, augmented reality screens, hands-on displays and touchable fossils, the exhibit will engage visitors in paleontology like never before.

The new exhibit opens to the public on Sunday, October 6th and runs through January 12, 2025. Members will enjoy a sneak peek on Saturday, October 5th. General admission is $18 per person and a family membership is $99.
