LittleGuide Detroit Stroller Roll (Westland): Saturday, July 19th

The first Stroller Roll of 2025 will be at Wayne County Park’s Nankin Mills along Hines Drive on Saturday, July 19th from 9am to 11am. Enjoy FREE inflatables, character visits, touch-a-trucks, giveaways and more! This is a FREE event but we ask that folks register here.

Reading & Rhythm on the Riverfront Thursdays & Fridays beginning July 10th

Reading and Rhythm on the Riverfront is held at Gabriel Richard Park, a large riverfront oasis, where families can enjoy music, storytelling and story time, in person and projected on a large screen. Attendees also receive free snacks and a book. 45 minute sessions are hosted every Thursday + Friday at 10am and 11:30am from July 11th to August 16th and parents must pre-register.

Christmas In July Movie Night Birmingham: Friday, July 11th

Bring the blankets, pillows and snacks for a fun evening under the stars. Birmingham hosts FREE outdoor movie nights at Booth Park. Pre-show entertainment will begin at 6:30pm and the movie will begin at 7:30pm. Celebrate Christmas In July with a showing of Home Alone with a very special guest.

Detroit Lions Training Camp: July 28th & 29th

You don’t have to wait for fall for football! The Detroit Lions training camp is open to the public for FREE in Allen Park. Tickets are open to the public starting July 15th. P.S. If your kids (girls or boys) want to PLAY football, check out NFL Flag, there are over two dozen locations in metro Detroit.

Storytime @ The Ford House: Tuesdays at 10:30am

Ford House storytimes sessions are great for kids ages 7 and younger. Enjoy an interactive story, followed by hands on fun. Afterwards you can explore the museum, grab a picnic from The Speedster and find the perfect spot on the grounds for a morning of family fun.

Detroit Historical Museum: Thursday, July 17th

Enjoy free live entertainment during the Concert of Colors AND free admission to the Detroit Historical Museum from 5:30pm to 9pm.

Michigan History Museum: Sundays, July 13th, 20th & 27th

Beginning with Michigan’s first people’s, the Anishinaabe, and ending in the mid-20th century, take a 3-story tour through time at the Michigan History Center in Lansing. The museum’s hands-on exhibits look at the life and industry in interactive ways that give kids a chance to stroll from the wilderness to the copper mines and into the classroom. The Michigan History Center is open on Mondays thru Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 6 to 17 and children ages 5 and under are free. The Center is open on Sundays from 1pm to 5pm and admission is FREE!
