If a change of scenery and location is what you’re family is looking for – but not too far away – we suggest making a day trip to Macomb County for outdoor fun, animals, and treats!

Family Fun @ Blake’s

Visit Blake Farms in Armada to pick delicious produce and stock up on sweet treats including cider and donuts! Let the kids play at Funland and enjoy a family meal at Blake’s Backyard – a recently renovated greenhouse with outdoor dining. Save the date for the June 22nd Strawberry Festival – there will even be fireworks!

Huron-Clinton Metroparks

Use your library card to register for a FREE day pass to a Huron-Clinton Metropark with the Michigan Activity Pass. There are 3 in Macomb and you’ll want to visit all of them.

  • Lake St. Clair Metropark: A massive playground, beautiful beach, lake side splash pad, waterpark with giant inflatable course and waterslides, adventure golf, and more – enjoy a full day of fun in the sun.
  • Wolcott Mill Metropark Farm Center:  The 250 acre working farm has all your littles favorite animals, nature trails and a barn themed playground with a massive tractor for kids to climb on!
  • Stony Creek Metropark: Spend the day in nature, on the trails, at the beach or on the playground.

United Shore Professional Baseball

The United Shore Professional Baseball (USPBL) is a four-team developmental professional baseball league that provides an affordable, family-friendly (only 7 innings!) day out at the ball park. Let your kids pick their favorite team (or Mascot) and cozy up on the lawn to watch the ball game. Tickets are only $6 per person! Games have different themed nights with character meet and greets and a chance to play on the field.

Family Adventures – Inside & Out

Need to get out the house and let the kids bounce on someone else’s wall? Kids from babies to age 10 will have a blast at Yoyo’s Fun Center, the indoor play place features ball pits, trampolines, lots of slides, swings, and more.

Head to Urban Air Adventure Park for ropes and warrior courses, indoor playground, and the sky rider.

Kids 40″ tall will have a ball at C.J. Barrymore’s outdoor amusement center that gives kids (and adults) a chance to get behind the wheel for Mario Kart inspired go-kart races.
