The Backyard Playroom

The Backyard Playroom is open 3 days a week and offers FREE fun for kids ages 5 and under! Kids can climb and slide on the treehouse, play dress up, cook up a storm in the play kitchen and enjoy LOTS of other toys! This is a space for babies too! Plenty of room to roll around and take in all the sights and sounds.

Hours are Monday, Wednesday & Friday,from 9am to 12pm (it’s closed when Berkley Schools are closed).

Playgrounds and Parks

  • Oxford Park (2100 Bacon Berkley, MI 48072): The signature Berkley playground is large and has something for everyone but the unique toddle area is a standout. During the summer months, littles can easily cool down at the free splash pad.
  • Bacon Park (Webster and, Bacon Ave, Berkley, MI 48072): This shaded playground is great for sunny days. Kids will love exploring and spending time in the sandbox!
  • Kiwanis Tot Lot (1363 Cambridge Rd, Berkley, MI 48072): The neighborhood park is great for littles. There is a small modern structure with slides, climbers and multiple swinging options.

Bombshell Treat Bar

This one if for you as much as it is for the kids. Watch your littles delight in getting to pick out each layer of their customized sweet treat at Bombshell Treat Bar. Start with ice cream bar selection, then shell flavor, drizzle and toppings for a cool and delicious treat. The shop itself is super cute and great for a memorable photo-op to remember the day.

Bombshell Treat Bar is open Tuesdays – Thursdays from 12pm to 8pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm to 9pm and Sundays from 12pm to 7pm.
