Celebrate 30th years of Tim Burton’s classic The Nightmare Before Christmas at Beacon Park on Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th during a FREE public viewing.

Bring the kids downtown for a family-friendly movie night that will be serving up delicious popcorn and refreshing cocktails, mocktails and craft beer from Lumen Detroit. Sing along with the Pumpkin King Jack Skellington and get in the Halloween spirit as Jack spreads the joy of Christmas across the land in a frighteningly fun way. The movie will be shown on the big screen inside Beacon Park’s heated tents on Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th at 6pm.

Before the show on Saturday, stop by Clark Park (it’s just 10 minutes away) for Detroit Parks and Recreation FREE Fall Fest! The festival features a variety of activities: Carnival rides and games, hayrides, pony rides, petting zoo, archery, axe throwing, rock climbing, zip line, Barbie Zone featuring Barbie and the selfie bus, video game truck, and mobile bowling alley. Other activities include pumpkin and face painting, arts-n-crafts, outdoor games, and photo booths. Smores, food trucks and other vendors! The Fall Fest runs from 1pm to 5pm.
