Eagle Creek Academy Offers Drop-In Babysitting and Mommy & Me Classes

At LittleGuide Detroit we want to make it easier for you to fun activities to do with your kids AND safe places for them to be when you need to do things without them. Drop-In Babysitting

Eagle Creek Academy’s drop-in babysitting program is the perfect solution for busy parents. Located in Lake Orion near Lapeer Rd., Eagle Creek offers a safe and fun environment for all children ages 1 to 10 years old, including children who are not enrolled in Eagle Creek’s other programs.

Families may arrange babysitting for the exact days and times they want simply by going to the website and choosing their session. Babysitting is even available on Fridays until 9 pm.

Children do not need to be potty-trained, and they may take naps in a separate, quiet area.

The teachers are mature and experienced and offer crafts, free art, toys, games, science experiments, and gym time in the school’s large gym. Many of the activities lean towards STEAM, the integration of science, technology, engineering, art and math, because Eagle Creek also runs a STEAM elementary school and preschool.

Mommy & Me Classes

Many families also love Eagle Creek’s Mommy & Me classes for children ages 1 to 4. Each week for an hour and a half, children spend time with an adult for songs, exercise, art, and science. The adult can be a parent, grandparent, or family friend, and it does not need to be the same adult each time.

Mommy & Me sessions last four to six weeks, and many families enroll again and again. They also build friendships with the other families outside of school.

Families who use the babysitting and Mommy & Me programs are also welcome to join the school’s family events such as Family Bowling Night, Trunk or Treat, Movie Night and so on.
