Grab your dinosaur lover and head to Ella Sharp Museum for some fossil finding fun. Hurry, the exhibit leaves May 14th!
The Ella Sharp Museum of art and history is hosting a dinosaur safari exhibit for a limited time! Learn about fossils and find some on your own in their two fossil finding areas. Take a ride in their safari jeep, or relax in the tent with books all about dinosaurs. Around the room you will find dinosaurs such as the T-rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus! The dinosaurs all move and make noise so be prepared!
The museum also hosts a kids play area with hands on toys such as marble runs, dress up area and a play kitchen area. There are also multiple scavenger hunts throughout the museum to keep the kids entertained and engaged in learning. Outside be sure to check out the Hurst Planetarium. Admission to it’s shows are included in the price of the museum. You can find the show schedule here. Pack a lunch and play at the park directly across the street from the museum to complete the fun filled day!
The Ella Sharp Museum is open Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 12pm-5pm. Admission includes Museum Galleries and Hurst Planetarium Shows. Cost: Adults, $10, Children up to 17: $5, Children Under 5: Free. Ella Sharp is also part of the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association and ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) Passport Program! If you have a museum membership at any of the museums listed here you can also gain free admission to Ella Sharp.
