Big things are happening just across the border and we can’t wait to check out Toledo’s Glass City. The mutli-million dollar investment project features a new children’s playground that opens this summer!
Glass City Metropark’s Grosbeak Discovery Play Area has its Grand Opening planned for Saturday, June 10th and we can’t wait. The native birds inspired playspace will feature a 41-foot-tall adventure tower with climbing nets and a covered circular slide, a child-friendly zip line, swings, hillside slides and stump climbs.
Other attractions at the park include a Mini-Maumee water play area and roller skating on ‘ The Ribbon’ an outdoor mixed-use skating trail.
Toledo Metoparks are FREE to visit and Glass City isn’t the only one to check out. The Toledo Botanical Gardens Metropark, Oak Openings (Preserve + Beach Ridge), and Wildwoods are also great places to explore nature and play!
