Back by popular demand, LittleGuide Detroit is hosting their FREE Stroller Roll Event on Saturday, July 24th at Nankin Mills / Hines Drive in Westland with fun planned for everyone!
Our Stroller Roll events are not a race, they are not a formal walk…you may not even get past the playground (and that’s ok)…it’s just a fun way to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air together! In April, LittleGuide Detroit hosted its first Stroller Roll at the Dequindre Cut with over 1,000 attendees, and this month, we’re back but in a new location – Wayne County Park’s Nankin Mills Recreation Area located along Hines Drive.
Every Saturday, six miles from Nankin Mills to Outer Drive is closed to the public, allowing for safe open street usage by pedestrians and cyclists. On July 24th the LittleGuide team will be out there with complimentary snacks, Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s PANDA One Intensive Care Transport Team for touch-a-truck fans and a few ‘super’ friends from Laurel Princess Parties’ including Raya, Captain American and Iron Man!
Call up your friends and plan a playdate. In addition to fun photo ops with our guests, there’s lots to do at Nankin Mills:
- Playgrounds: Nankin Mills Recreation Area + Merriman Hallow (1 mile from Nankin Mills) + Perrin Recreation Area (3.4 miles from Nankin Mills)
- Bike Tracks: Littles will love the dirt + pump bike tracks at Hawthorne Ridge Recreation Area (1 mile from Nankin Mills)
- Fishing: Check out the new fishing spot at Nankin Lake Dam, slight north of the Nankin Mills Recreation Area
