Fire & Ice Festival
Friday, January 5 – Sunday, January 7 @ Valade Park, Detroit
Head to Winter at Valade’s Fire and Ice festival– Friday, January 5 through Sunday, January 7 – for tons of medieval fun with a winter twist! All weekend enjoy oversized fires, turkey legs and an ice carving competition. Try your hand at archery and ax throwing, or take your picture on our Iron Throne – made of ice, of course! Frozen’s Elsa and Renaissance Fair performers will be wandering the park for additional photo opportunities. The signature moment of the weekend is Fire and Ice Tower – a 7 foot ice structure that will become a giant bonfire once lit at 6pm on Saturday.
Detroit Winterfest

FREE family from 1pm to 5pm with ice skating, carriage rides, build a bear station, aerial artist, face painting, ceramics, laser tag, inflatables, Frozen character meet and greets and MORE!
Aqua Freeze Festival

Frost Festival

Frost Fest promises a weekend filled with icy delights, from stunning under the sea themed ice sculptures, to a carving competition, topped off with a shopping and dining Bingo game that will have you exploring the heart of the city!
Motown Magic
Friday, January 19 – Sunday, January 21 @ Valade Park, Detroit
Celebrate everything you love about Detroit at Motown Magic weekend at Valade Park! We’ll have a local vendor market, a Detroit Pistons park takeover, and a classic Motown soundtrack courtesy of local DJs and dance groups.
Ice Sculpture Festival
Saturday, January 20 & Sunday, January 21 @ Downtown Tecumseh
Downtown will have over 40 ice sculptures for you to see. The Michigan Avian Experience will be here this year with their majestic eagle for everyone to see. Try your hand at our Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win a gift card packet.
Dexter Ice Festival
Saturday, January 20 @ Downtown Dexter
Live ice carving demos, more than 70 ice sculptures, hot chocolate, s’mores, and a kids zone with games and entertainment, all in Monument Park. Depending on weather, sculptures remain in place for three weeks.
Winterfest
Saturday, January 27 @ Belle Isle Nature Center
Trek through the trails on snowshoes, make a feeder to care for birds in the winter, learn about animal adaptations and winter survival, and much more. Don’t miss out on this event full of outdoor adventures and cold-weather fun!
Winter Carnival
Saturday, January 27 @ Bear Creek Nature Park
This FREE event in Oakland Township is held no matter the weather. They’ve got ice carving demos, snow games, archery, snow snake luge, broom ball, snowshoes, ice skating, puppet and magic show! But don’t worry – they’ve also got warming tents and indoor bathrooms.

Berkley WinterFest
Friday, February 2 @ Berkley Community Center Lawn
WinterFest is a FREE annual event held from 12pm to 2pm and designed to embrace the cold weather and celebrate Michigan’s winter season. It is a great event for whole family – all activities will be held outdoors and include ice sculptures, family games, ice skating (weather dependent), food trucks and more.

The Plymouth Ice Festival invites you to explore downtown Plymouth, with sidewalks lined with ice carvings. To help with social distancing, we are spreading ice carving displays, in front of merchants and restaurants, in the downtown area.

The event features live music, free ice skating, ice sculptures, learn to ski/snowboard experience, zip line, food trucks, kids adventure zone, free family activities and more.

There will be an ice sculpture show, hot chocolate & s’mores, a giant snow man adventure trail of locally designed snowmen, chili cookoff, horse drawn wagon rides, kids winter activities, and so much more.
Ice Carving Show

Live ice carving demonstrations during the first weekend of February! Many downtown businesses will be open for the show, offering a place to warm up and relax indoors. Maps of where each sculpture will be located will be available at the Fountain Stage and in all downtown businesses.

Clarkston WinterFest

Bring your skates to this event hosted by the Clarkston Optimists. Skating, hot chocolate, DJ music, smores with campfire and kids games. All families invited and it’s FREE !

Are you ready for a day of family activities and fun in Hartland Township?! There’s something for everyone as we celebrate the winter season with sledding, entertainment, food, and ice skating. The night will conclude with a fireworks show at dusk.

Once again, People for Palmer Park will celebrate love and Black History at its free family-friendly Winter LoveFest. The pre-Valentine’s Day community event will be held in and around the historic Palmer Log Cabin. Shuttles available from Adams Butzel Complex, Patton Recreation Center, Kemeny Recreation Center, and Heilmann Recreation Center
#StrongerTogether Ice Fest
Sunday, February 11 @Downtown Lake Orion & Oxford
Stroll through Downtowns Lake Orion & Oxford to see all of our beautiful ice sculptures from Clear Cut Ice. Live ice carving performances as well as carvings throughout both towns. Ice carvings will remain in downtown until they melt.

The Dearborn Heights Fire & Ice Festival will have fire throwers/eaters, ice sculptures, fire pits, s’mores, live music, stilts, train rides and much more for families to enjoy!
