Bundle up and strap on some skates, the outdoor ice rink at Centennial Commons is Royal Oak opens for the 23/24 season on November 17th.

The Rink at Royal Oak is located in Centennial Commons and features a 60 by 90’ foot skating rink that will offer live entertainment, lighting, special events throughout the season. Guest can skate for $10 per person Mondays thru Fridays (before 6pm) and $12 on weekends. Skate rental is $5 (available for FREE on Mondays). You are allowed to bring your own skates if you would like.

In addition to the skating, you can also roast marshmallows (kits are $4), warm up with outdoor heaters and fire pits, and find warmth in the Royal Oak Public Library Warming Center.

The season starts on Friday, November 17th with a ribbon cutting at 3pm and FREE skating until 6pm. $1 hot chocolate, and live entertainment will be offered opening weekend.

Hours November 18th – December 31st:

  • Monday-Thursday: 12pm to 9pm
  • Friday: 12pm to11pm
  • Saturday: 11am to 11pm
  • Sunday: 11am to 9pm

The City of Royal Oak’s 11 Mile Road parking structure is steps away from the skating rink. Parking is free Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the first two hours and .75 per hour regularly.
