Thursday, April 18
- Cranbrook Insitute of Science (Bloomfield Hills) hosts its monthly Free Third Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Stop by the museum and explore the hands-on science exhibits.
- Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center (Detroit) hosts its annual Community Open House. Enjoy complimentary admission from 6pm to 8pm.
Saturday, April 20
- It’s Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA! Stop by the South Oakland YMCA (Royal Oak) between 10am and 12pm or the Carls Family YMCA (Milford), Farmington Family YMCA (Farmington Hills) or Boll Family YMCA (Detroit) between 11am and 1pm for FREE family fun – no membership required
- GET a free admission pass to the Detroit Zoo (Royal Oak) on Saturay and Sunday when you bring old electronics for recycling between 9am to 3pm. You can also stick around for Greenfest.
- It’s DIY-U Kids Workshop Day at Lowe’s (multiple locations). Stop in your local Lowe’s between 10am and 1pm and let your kids build a playful garden cart planter.
- The Detroit Historical Museum (Detroit) is celebrating City of Champions Day with FREE admission from 10am to 5pm.
- The Belle Isle Nature Center (Detroit) is always free but on Saturday you can enjoy additional activities for Green Day, happening from 11am to 4pm.
Sunday, April 21
- The Edsel and Eleanor Ford House (Grosse Pointe Shores) is opening its doors for Community Appreciation Day from 9am to 6pm. Have family fun along Lake St. Clair while touring the grounds and the house.
- The Dossin Great Lakes Museum (Detroit) on Belle Isle is offering free admission for Earth Day. In addition to the permanent exhibit, enjoy special activities from 10am to 3pm.
- It’s Touch-A-Truck time! Stop by the Southfield Civic Center for a touch-a-truck happening from 1pm to 4pm. There will be a sensory sensitive hour from 1pm to 2pm.
